If this is made of real snake skin, well its a strict no-no for anyone who knows that anything made of any animal skin is taboo and recently a fashion icon was booed when she wore a coat made from animal fur.

Recently, I saw pictures of how brutally the snakes are ”skinned”. It shocked me and it should shock every thinking human with just that little bit of a heart and soul!

PETA, are you listening?!

Thanks for bringing this important issue in light.
Unfortunately it has been made from real snake skin, but I hope that Celine Dimitri must have got the snake skin from a PETA approved skinning center. They are a famous brand and wouldn’t like to commit such kind of cruel act.
I don’t have much idea that how snake skin are extracted, but I hope they are using proper procedures and methods to do so. Also, fur is different from snake skin; as fur is made mostly form animals which are in endangered spices or cruelly killed only for it. But while in snake skins product it is possible that it can be extracted without killing the snake.
But I agree with you, it should be avoided and there are many artificial substitute developed, which should be bought more in use.

Thank you for making note of my comment. I hope, like you said, that the brand being a well-known one, Celine Dimitri would have taken adequate care while extracting skin from the snakes.

Believe me if you had seen those pictures ( a friend had forwarded those to me)of the snakes being skinned, illegally, you would have had some sleepless nights at least, as I did!

The best thing would be to buy artifical substitutes - after all we have no right to take something from animals by harming them, when we don’t give them any thing in return and instead perpetate cruelty on them!

That’s my 2 cents!

Yes, I totally agree, illegal skinning of snakes is a really brutal process. People should go for brands they trust and if in doubt, they should go for available substitutes.
